Hampstead Garden Suburb
Wildwood Road
Wildwood Road is a very exclusive area within leafy Hampstead. Silver Bricks has been asked to renovate this beautiful grade II listed building following some minor damage caused by subsidence.
Although no structural changes are required, the owners are taking this opportunity to improve their home. Our works include upgraded wiring and plumbing to meet the standards of today’s building regulations, replastering and redecorating throughout, retaining but refurbishing existing doors, windows, ceilings, cornicing and architraves, damp proofing in the basement and new tiles and sanitaryware in the bathrooms. We are working closely with a renowned interior designer, Eileen Johnston, to ensure this property is as glorious on the inside as it is on the outside.
Being a listed building and restricted by the requirement to have single glazing, this large house is extremely cold in the winter. Silver Bricks will install the latest technology in underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and basement to ensure this becomes a cosy family home.
As with many of our other projects, we will work closely with the local planners and Hampstead Garden Suburbs Trust to respect the historical importance of this property.
(NOTE – this description of the works required has changed. We apologise if previous wording was misleading).
